Well, those are some reasons on websites, in articles and on the news at least. <br /><br />Do you know why you want go green? I do. Here are my 10 personal reasons for going green:<br /><br />1. I want to show my (step) children how to respect the earth and support it as it has supported us as a source of energy, food, living space and a play ground.<br /><br />2. For a purer food source. I want to food that is not genetically modified or given chemicals to make it look fresh when it is not. I also want it to be antibody and hormone free. <br /><br />3. A chemical free household that is safe not only for my families bare feet, but also for my pets’ bare feet.<br /><br />4. A way to recycle all the products I waste, i.e.: newspapers, glass and plastic containers, old clothes etc., in my house so there is less depletion of our natural resources.<br /><br />5. Clothes that let my body and the environment breathe easy.<br /><br />6. Cleaner, and possibly cheaper, energy sources.<br /><br />7. Water that my children, pets and I can swim in without fear of pollution.<br /><br />8. Capturing and reusing our natural resources so nothing goes to waste and no resources become completely depleted.<br /><br />9. My sensitive skin just can’t handle all the chemicals in non-organic cleaners and make-up.<br /><br />10. I want the world to be at least as beautiful for future generations as it is for me.<br /><br />My goal is to connect with people as passionate as I am about painting the planet green one step at a time and finding frugal ways to do it. Yes, I believe we can be economically smart about being ecologically friendly. Don’t believe me?
